Rosa is INCREDIBLE!! After years of using the same tailor/seamstress (they changed ownership and began to decline), I was nervous to try someone new. From speaking with Rosa on the phone, to the fitting, to pick up, she was nothing but kind and attentive. I cannot say enough good things about Rosa! She was highly recommended in a fb group I was in and decided to bring my dress to get altered for a wedding I’m attending. First time working with Rosa and WOW am I blown away. I had a last minute, very specific detailed request and she exceeded my expectations. I got the impression that she mainly works with higher end wedding attire, so I was a bit apprehensive at first because I needed my jacket designed for a character for my Comic Con cosplay. She brought my vision to life, despite having such little time. She added the silver trim, shoulder patches, and a mock button. She actually did more than I thought she would be able to do, at a very reasonable price. She is a sweet, honest, hardworking woman.

Rosa is so sweet and just a pleasure to bring things to. She is a local specialist in working with leather (I found this out when I asked a tailor if he could alter some leather gloves, and he directed me to a shoe repair shop because they have experience with leather. however, they did not have the right machine to do fine detail work with leather, so they sent me to Rosa, who does have the machine). She had just moved her shop to the Wabash Ave locale, and it's kind of a mess inside but in sort of a comfortable way :) doesn't make sense, i know, but I just like how casual and "mom and pop" her shop feels.
Anyway, she finished the gloves and even called me when I didn't make it in on the day we had agreed they would be done- she said she could bring them to the neighborhood where I live because she was coming that way! I was so surprised by the offer, but I said don't worry, I'll come on another day.
I was very happy with the alteration of my gloves- it was a bit more expensive than we had agreed on, but she had to hand-stitch part of it. everything was perfect, and she had taken great care with the measurements so that they would be right.
I would recommend her, especially for leather products- if you are worried about a special piece of clothing, just take the extra time for her to measure and make sure she knows what you want. She is absolutely willing to take the time to help you get it right.
